Our Story
Happy at Home Halifax began when two senior serving not for profit organizations in Halifax saw many older adults were living at home without the support they needed—and without anyone to help them find it. Older adults were facing complex systems, unanswered questions, and small household tasks that had no one to take them on. Together, Chebucto Links and Spencer House created a program to offer trusted guidance and hands-on help, so older adults in the HRM no longer have to navigate aging alone.

What We Do
At the heart of Happy at Home is our free navigation line, where seniors and caregivers can call for one-on-one support. We help connect people to local services, health resources, and community programs—based on their individual needs. We also offer light home maintenance through volunteers and host local events to share resources, build connection, reduce isolation and sometimes share great food! Our goal is simple: to help seniors stay safe, supported, and happy at home.
